Loading... The Castelbuono Estate is a very famous farm in Umbria between Bevagna and Montefalco, in a land famous in all the world for its wines. Since 2003 this farm produces two kind of excellente wines Sagrantino and Red Montefalco.
The undisputed symbol of the farm is a sculpture by Arnaldo Pomodoro and called "Carapace" (Tortoise shell) because it reproduces a tartle's shell. It is a unique work because inside the sculpture people live and work.
The guided visite in the Castelbuono Estate will be end with a wines tasting inside the woderfull Carapace sculpture.
The types of visits planned are as follows:
- "Ziggurat": guided tasting of the current vintages of 3 wines paired with bread with oil, breadsticks, taralli, cheese and focaccia.
- "Tenute Lunelli": guided tasting of the current vintages of 4 wines paired with bread with oil, breadsticks, taralli, cheese and focaccia.
- "Carapace": guided tasting of the current vintages of 4 Montefalco Rosso and Sagrantino wines, paired with bread with oil, breadsticks, taralli, cheese, focaccia, roccetti and honey.
- "Carapace" with chopping board: guided tasting of the current vintages of 4 Montefalco Rosso and Sagrantino wines, paired with a platter of typical local products: cold cuts, cheeses, bruschetta with EVO oil, roccetti and honey.
